Hmmm, when reading this entire post 2 things come to mind...
1. As a T-mobile store manager where over half of my reps have G1's and love selling them. They are not ready to buy any app in market place....period. Why? If you have a 600 apps in market that are free (500 flashlights and 100 everything else) then all of a sudden there are 150 paid apps, some of which we have already tried and uninstalled as free versions, let's wait a little bit and see what better comes along. Its like this, you are sixteen and want a 69 mustang fully race ready to drive. But you only have 1500.00 to spend on your first car. So, you buy the first sporty car you can find, a mitsubisi eclipse (non- turbo), then a month later on craigs list you see "need cash bad, selling 69 camaro for 2000 obo.) Sure its not a mustang, but really, what is. Point is, my entire market knows that every app code breeds a better app that breeds a better more usefull app. Animal noices and stuff like that can stay on iphone. I don't know anyone not on att that would actually buy a "stupid button" even if its only for a dollar. So in short (or long) keep putting out apps. Keep making them better actually have a purpose behind them. And I know that purchases will come....(fart apps are in same category as animal noises. If we want to hear arnold or mr t we can watch wgn, tnt, tbs, wb reruns). I have bought 3 apps my self. Snap photo (cause camera is junk without it) task manager (I will support anyone who writes "root access" apps. As my G1 is rooted with JF RC33 WITH AUTOROTATE BROWSER, MULTI TOUCH, AND APPS TO SD CARD) and I bought the "risk" type game after trying the demo first. No demo, no purchase. Now, for my ever important #2. #2......with the few posts above mine that were very long winded and combatant, this is what came to mind when reading....... ........STOP FLAMMING AND WRITE A USEFUL FUN APP AND CHRIST SAKES GIVE PAID APPS MORE THAT 3 DAYS TO MATERIALISE TO END USERS. IF YOU ARE COMPLAINING THAT USERS HAVE ONLY BOUGHT 2 OF YOUR APPS THEN IT DIDN'T FILL A NEED. MAKE SOMETHING USEFULL AND PEOPLE WILL BUY IT. MAKE IT TO EXSPENSIVE THOUGH, AND SOMEONE WILL STEAL YOUR IDEA AND CUT YOUR PRICE IN HALF AND MAKE A KILLING. 29.99 FOR A DICTIONARY IS KINDA DUMB IF YOU ASK ME. WHEN ALL YOU NEED IS WWW.DICTIONARY.COM AND YOU CAN USE THE 30 BUCKS AS A MONTH OF G1 DATA PLAN. TAKE A LOOK AT THE JAILBROKEN IPHONES. (500,000 ON T-MOBILE) THEY JAIL BREAK THEM SO THEY CAN GET GENERIC APPS FOR FREE FROM THE OTHER MARKETS. BUT IF YOU HAVE A GOOD GAME ex. Marios Cart THEN PEOPLE WILL PAY 10.00 FOR IT. QUIT COMPLAINING AND START DEVELOPING NEW THINGS AND STOP TURNING ANDROID MARKET INTO IPHONE APP STORE LEFT OVERS!!!!!!!! Thanks, PDAJR24 T-MOBILE retail store manager G1 black JF RC33 lite MULTI-TOUCH, AUTO ROTATE, APPS TO 8GIG SD. HTC VOGUE (VZW) WM 6.1 (all apps to 2gig sd card) ATT IPHONE First Gen 8Gig. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
