I agree there are options beyond rapidshare, as it stands there are many
ways to distribute an app, but unfortunately very few of them allow you to
pay the developer for their efforts...

After several months with a G1, I've asked 3 developers if they would sell
their app outside of the Android market, but each time I've been refused.
Most of the time I can find free alternatives or write my own, but just
occasionally there is a pay-for app I really want that is only available on
the android market or download via an illicit source...
