I get the same kind of request from users, usually once or twice a week. I refer them to Android Market forum and ask them to post there : http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Android+Market?hl=en
Some of them do and you'll probably find their messages there. I think a few just give up because my app is only $0.99. But maybe Google Market should add another link - instead of just email developer, we should also have email google (checkout) for any payment / refund options.
