Keith, regarding 4, screenshots and videos would be great too.
Anyway, maybe you should take the content of your mail and put an
enhancement request into b.android.com and mention the url here, so that we
can star the issue.

I am not sure if that will get noticed by our overlords, but at least we
would have a common place to store our Android Market bitching/enhancement
requests.
