There's a whole patch system awaiting your code contribution. If that doesn't fit your plans, do any of the other things I suggested to try to help make it happen. If it's trivial, it will get implemented quickly, particularly with some form of financial incentive. My estimate of "difficult" is based on my recollections of the threads from early 2009 where this issue was discussed ad nauseum, and all the little corner cases that "trivial" implementations may not cover (e.g., SD card ejection). But, if it's trivial to implement, so much the better. BTW, I forgot other possible ways to help get this done: -- Ask AndroidAndMe or Android-DLs to run a bounty program to get this patch implemented, since they have had experience with such programs, instead of starting up a bounty from a separate site -- Find somebody running an embedded systems course at a university and see if they would be interested in implementing Android apps-on-SD as a class project -- Mark Murphy (a Commons Guy) http://commonsware.com | http://twitter.com/commonsguy Android App Developer Books: http://commonsware.com/books.html --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
