i see what you are saying and i agree with you. if i had the time or
the ability to create applications, i would do it. but for me to go
out of my way to learn how to make this app, and then probably do not
as good of a job as any experienced dev, would be a waste of a good
idea in my eyes. therefore i tell you guys. programming is (or at
least should be) a hobby of most devs. so something like this should
be a fairly basic side project. my point is that i dont give enough of
a damn for this application to become reality. but i do think that if
any of you guys really thought this over, you would at least look into
creating this (or any other good "idea" posted up by non-devs like
myself). to just brush it under the rug and say "get off your ass and
do it yourself" doesnt earn you any money/glory, and doesnt go toward
the betterment of android. i can plant a seed, i just dont have the
necessary resources to nourish it. but if anybody does, it will grow
and everyone will enjoy it's fruit.

once again, very good point. but thats why i say that it's a work-
around concept. i believe/hope that google will eventually bring out a
patch that would make it possible to run applications off the sd card.
but in the meantime we've been waiting around since october to no
avail. so sure, the concept will create a lag feel for the platform,
but only when you open "bubble", "throttle copter" or "white board".
but im sure that a lot of g1 users would be willing to offer up 8
seconds for these rarely used applications, for 8GB of virtual phone
memory.
