Very true. *(and an open wifi is likely more easily * exposed to -or even owned by- pirates). There are networks everywhere that are totally insecure, wireless or not. There's no telling where the load distributing routers are going to send data once it leaves your provider, and your provider itself may not be secure -- take for example a residential cable network... not that difficult to read things off there. * My house (physical) mailbox is not really secure either (and the postman * have easy access to my correspondance).
