I've been developing an app (still far from complete) for some time now. I'm not yet at a point where I need to test the app on a real device (though that would be nice to get a more accurate feel for performance or surprises etc) but am looking to buy a handset for the following reasons:
1. Get an idea of the look-and-feel of existing apps - to date I've spent very little time on the UI, focussing instead on the logic which is the harder part. I know I could just install a bunch of apps on the emulator but I think the hands-on approach would give a better idea of the user-experience 2. I need a decent phone for everyday use. As an added benefit, regularly using a phone that I am also developing for, will probably give me new inspiration for the design/direction of my app. 3. Maybe in a few months time I will be at a point where I need to test my app on a real device. Is there any benefit to getting the ADP over just rooting a regular phone? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
