The menu key is and must be linked to the menu function, which is
quite distinct from the right-click function. Try it and you'll see
that its a different menu that comes up.

Gestures... isn't that just like adding complexity to the long-press?
You still need to long-press, but now you need to move your finger
around as well.

Touch + shake: Interesting, but not universal. Presumably, not all
android phones will come with an accelerometer. It would also be quite
goofy and probably result in a lot of smashed phones.

Touch + shout: lmao. I can just imagine that being used on the subway.

Multitouch or any key + touch: can't be done one-handed.

Doubletap: is already associated with execution. It also introduces a
delay in single-tap execution, which would be much worse for
perception of sluggishness than long-press.
