The hardware keyboard supports more characters than those just indicated. For typing accented letters, deadkeys are supports for grave, acute, circumflex, tilde and diaeresis (umlauts). To access them, type [Shift], [Alt], [W] for grave; [Shift], [Alt], [E] for acute; [Shift], [Alt], [I] for circumflex; [Shift], [Alt], [N] for tilde; and [Shift], [Alt], [U] for diaeresis. This will give you the accented character placed in the text entry filed with an orange background, then you enter the letter you wish to have accented.
Other secondary alternate characters can be entered this way, such as ß, …, •, &c. They are all entered the same way: [Shift], then [Alt], and finally the character you wish to access. Unfortunately there is no easy way to enter å ø or œ for those users who wish those characters without manually editing the keyboard definitions. — Robert Cameron On Jul 2, 6:33 am, Johannes Lundberg <[email protected]> wrote: > When it comes to the software-keyboard, yes, that's a probable > solution.
