I was having a problem connecting to my Belkin router. The HTC Magic would see other networks in the area but not my router unless I removed all security. This was strange because my Mac and iPod Touch could see and connect to the router without any problems.
I reset the router and everytime I changed something in order to put the router back to the setting I had before resetting, I checked to see what was keeping the Magic from seeing the router. The conflict was occurring when I was changing my router's clock from the default PST (Pacific Time) to more local time zone (EST, Eastern). I left the default clock setting to PST and continued to setup the security settings on the router, and everything worked as it should. The only change is that my router's internal clock is off by several hours, but of course, this has no consequence to anything. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
