You might want to think about your statements first. 1) There is no such thing as "tmobile specifications" vs "htc specifications". HTC is the manufacturer. Not tmobile. The amount of ram/flash a device has is not so fixed... they could easily put more on DREAM by simply sticking on a different chip and making minimal changes to the SPL for it.
2) Processes being limited to 16 MB doesn't mean anything. You have background processes that can get killed off when system memory is consumed, and you can have multi-process systems that use more than 16MB. 3) how about NDK? Does it allow >16MB? As I understand it, the 16MB stack limit is imposed by Dalvik VM. Native console applications certainly don't have this restriction.
