One small obs:
During development time we evaluated some filters, and actually a
filter for "uneven-light conditions" is in place (you can activate it
from Menu->Preferences).
The thing is that each filter adds processing time, so it is a
tradeoff at this point to choose between processing time and quality.
Also Tesseract has it's own internal filters, and Google is still
developing the code, so I presume with the new versions it will get
better and better for the mobile processing.
