I just updated my T-Mobile G1 to Android 1.6 and am loving the updates, except for one: The terrible new camera/video recorder/ gallery interface. I love how much faster and responsive it is, but that border with beveling looks like it's from the 90's when I had just discovered photoshop's pattern fill. PLEASE someone update that and give it a more modern look. Personally, I really liked the transparent floating buttons, but maybe they were slowing down the performance or something?
Anyways, it's really just that border. I guess it is trying to look like the texture on a digital camera, but I think someone (a graphic designer) needs to take another look at that.
