I remember seeing some mention on Twitter of people sharing assetIds for ADC2 apps and downloading them manually by methods like in this blog: http://strazzere.com/blog/?p=295
Never tried it myself, but it's possible that way of obtaining ADC2 apps still works and is resulting in new installs.
