In short, developers can now list pay-for apps and users can now buy
them via either the AndAppStore website or the AndAppStore on-device
client (yup, that does meant that users can buy apps via the website
then download them to their Android device using the AndAppStore
client). Oh, and AndAppStore takes *nothing* out of the payment, so
the only fees developers pay are those imposed PayPal.

If you want the details; We've used PayPal because of it's multi-
currency support. This means we can allow developers can list their
app prices in US Dollars, Euros, and/or UK Pounds and set the price
separately in each currency (e.g. developers can specify their app
costs 1.50 USD, 1.00 EUR, or 1.00 GBP if they wanted to), but users
get to choose which currency they want to pay in. Developers can list
in only one or two of the currencies if they want, and the prices will
only be shown in those currencies, so there's no need for developers
to manually work out the price in other currencies if they don't want
to.

The integration uses PayPals web interface which allows PayPal to
process cards which have Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode
security measures associated with them (which is becoming more
common), and we've provided a method that allows apps to check if a
user has made the purchase so that apps can ensure they're being used
by people who've paid for them.

Hopefully thats' enough to wet developers appetites, comments are, as
always, are welcomed.

Al.
