Hong, I believe you meant to refer to the MILESTONE as a GSM/UMTS version, and I agree, it appears we will have to wait for that one to come out to even have a shot at avoiding Verizon/CDMA. I hope/consider to pick one up through Vodafone/Germany later this year, assuming it's unlocked or at least properly running sans SIM card. Otherwise it shall be referred to as the MILLSTONE from now on (;->).
BTW, assuming I read the specs correctly, the MILESTONE as sold in Europe will not run on US 3G networks, be it T-Mobile or AT&T. Edge should work however, and Wifi of course, which should suffice for test purposes, one would think.
