These stickers are put in place so manufacturers don't have to take stories on warranty claims. That said, yeah the G1 isn't built for the road warrior. Let it dry thoroughly without heating it up, it may come back to live, depending on the amount of grit that has built up over time that's now sitting on the circuit boards and inside all the nooks and crannies. If you're desperate, clean it with an old dry toothbrush after drying the device.
