Coming from a Treo/Palm OS device, the PIM suite on Android is underwhelming.
The integration with Google's online services and tools is nice to have, but the apps on the phone leave much to be desired. For example... Calendar: - No tasks support/integration - Empty time slots and long events are not compressed to save display space - Recurring options are not delicate enough - No floating event support (this is not widely supported, even on other devices, through) - All day event are just shown as a thin bar with no text at all on top - No start/end day time... Even if I wake up at 2AM I don't think the calendar should show what's my schedule at 2AM... Tasks: - Total lack of... Notes: - Total lack of... Contacts: - Lack of many commonly used fields found in other PIM - Lack of custom fields I know there are alternatives on the Market, and solutions such as gTasks shows promise. But it's been one long year since Android first released to the public and it's kind of a surprise to me that the PIM apps are feel so unpolished. Maybe I was spoiled by the Treo...? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group. To post to this group, send email to [email protected].
