If you want to talk about disappointment about updates then talk to an HTC Tattoo owner.
3 months after the big product launch in Oct / Nov last year it comes to light that 1.6 is all it's getting due to "hardware constraints". I can understand the annoyance of a 6 month old phone not getting an update, but when we're talking about 90 days between launch and being essentially obsolete, then imho product cycles are a too close together, and because of being burnt by the Tattoo we're not buying HTC devices in future. 'phone manufacturers really need to wake up to the fact that it may be nice to have a shiny pretty thing to show users every few months, but if they're ditching updates for their older devices just as quickly then 'phone users will move elsewhere because the crowd to whom shiny pretty 'phones are important really do not like the phrase 'Ohhh, sweetie, that's sooo last quarter, don't you know Android has moved on two versions since then and that device is just sooo out of date'.
