Tobias,

Whilst I don't agree with distributing applications against a developers wishes it might be worth thinking about if you're actually losing out on anything because of it.

Getting your application in front of as many users as possible means that your apps name gets known and people can then look for it and recommend it. Our free app carries ads, so the wider the distribution the greater our earning potential and the more widely known our "brand" is, which, to us, isn't a bad thing. If we were talking about paid apps I'd understand because you're losing money on each download, but for a free app I have to wonder why you see someone taking your app and making it more widely available as a bad thing.

Hello List,

Two of my free apps from the market got listed today at the website wareseeker[dot]com.

I did not consent to publish there, nobody ever asked for my permission. I have contacted them through their contact form and via direct email, but no answer since about 8 hours. Does anyone have a phonenumber of them? The download count goes up.

I believe that no website has the right to distribute another developers software without the consent, even if its free in the official android market.

You might wanna check if your apps are on there too.

Any thoughts?
