I have had zero problem like those Lance describes. I can hold it by the sides, I can "poke" it to select something, GPS works great everywhere, no issues at all. The hot spot works flawlessly too. I use it with my laptop and get a better signal than my Verizon aircard thingy.
It might be something to do with the AT&T version instead of T-Mobile. I'm extremely happy with the thing. So much so that I've stopped using my other Droids and kept AT&T service. Maybe I'm just lucky or perhaps the thing will malfunction at some point.
