mean u will handle the computer not the kids rite?
just get eclipse + android sdk
just follow this guide

http://developer.android.com/sdk/installing.html

and then install the ADT plugin

http://developer.android.com/sdk/eclipse-adt.html

and u are good to go... start with the hello world, which u can vary the
text...
and google for another simple tutorial since the hello world would take u
lest than 5 min
