I am planning on doing something similar for the youth in my area (Mankato, MN USA).
I have already been giving presentations to adults at conferences on this topic and have used the following presentation: http://mowyourlawn.com/files/OpenRPGUI_Droid.pdf This presentation is meant to detail two things - first, setting up the entire Eclipse environment on the PC and second, have it communicate with RPG on IBM i using an open source framework named OpenRPGUI. You are probably only concerned about the former. Take special note to slide/page 7 where I also have a fully documented video showing how to install Eclipse. Hopefully this helps.
