*1-Star* by Mike (February 7, 2011)
Great app. A must-have for all city dwellers, but it won't get five stars
until it supports train tracker.
They're resorting to ransom tactics now. Because clearly this is the
motivation I need to add new features.
(Side note, the train tracker he's talking about is a BETA program our
transit agency is playing with and has not provided to developers, so I
can't add this regardless).
Got a two start one this morning of someone complaining as best that
Google Translate could that they didn't like that it didn't support an
alternate Japanese input. I don't do anything language specific so
whatever other language support is up to the locale of the phone though
I always notice that Japanese gets set with my monkey tests for some
reason. I don't think Google supports the input he is looking for.
The subject matter is pretty much the same in any language and uses
glypths. To expect developers to do multilingual versions of niche apps
that won't sell that much is a bit over the top but the public doesn't
understand probably thinks all of us have big office buildings in world
tech centers. :-D
PS: I occasionally get support emails in a different language which I
use Translate to figure out what they're saying but reply in English.
At some point we're going to need a global language since the Internet
has shrunk the world.
