In theory, a corrupted apk won't install. (It won't unzip, and if it unzips the signature check should fail..)
In practice, well.. who knows.. (and yes, you can use install a signature-failed apk but it will prompt for all available permissions - market may be using their secret apis to bypass the platform prompt and missing this failure. AFAIK you cannot install an apk where the zip crc fails, although again, maybe market is doing something secret and fun..)
