I disagree. Nokia's been hemorrhaging market share since Android started its 
run, and without drastic action, it was only going to get worse. They build 
good hardware, but for whatever reason, have proven incapable of releasing a 
modern mobile OS. This solves that problem - assuming you think WinPhone 7 
is a modern mobile OS, which I do - and was probably their best remaining 
course of action.
