My wife is going to China soon and she has a Verizon Droid. She has a national roaming plan but we don't want to pay for any usage when she is in China.
Do we have to shut off 'roaming' (change to Home only)? If her son wants to play games like Angry Birds or Cut the Rope, will they still work without a data connection? Does putting the phone in 'Airplane mode' allow us to actually test if the game will work or not without a data connection? Any other suggestions?
