If you haven't tried Google Voice yet, you ought to do yourself a favor. I love it. In fact, I just now recorded a conversation where a woman gave me her fax number (for business, not love!) because I had nothing to write it on. Then, when I got back to my computer, I played it back and wrote it down for when I need it. That could also be a life-saver in the car (well, you shouldn't be using your phone at all in the car, but lets not go there.)
