Ken,
I think we need more information from you. I think that the emulator is
working fine.
The console window in eclipse should display something like,
"Installing....[your activity ] .......... as one of its messages....
After the emulator is up and running [30 seconds minimum] to load it to the
screen for the first time with a couple cmd windows loading.
you might have to unlock the emulator by sliding the unlock button.
Regardless, you should see an icon under Applications with your title of the
program.
If you have made it this far and your still following along here:
Run the app.[click on it] if just a blank window appears and its the simple
hellow world app . check your layout file and then check your strings.xml.
I would say that its one of those two combinations.
