craigslist / ebay / <auction site here> ... are for.

Get one you like, root it, and flash whatever version of the OS you like.
Then you're not at their mercy and, best of all, you can uninstall
pre-installed garbage like Facebook, Twitter, Amazon MP3, Books, Goggles,
and whatever other shit they think you want to waste precious space on.
