Very dogmatic, and I have to disagree about casual games. Maybe he has a different definition in mind than the one the casual games industry uses, but casual games ARE immersive. Every game shipped from PlayFirst, for instance, defaults to full screen on Windows -- and some 95%+ of users never switch to windowed mode. In fact, I'd say every top game I can think of on Android runs in full screen mode. If you're doing something like chess or solitaire, NOT being in full screen could make sense. Seriously, asking a game to not use full screen is a bit much, when pretty much every single game that makes any money uses full screen. I'd go as far as to say that it's what users expect.
