Problem:

I have a Nexus S phone loaded with the latest ICS OS and use USB tethering
a lot (daily). To enable tethering it takes no less than 6 key presses
from the moment the USB cable is detected by the phone.

After inserting the usb cable, you are provided a option to enable usb
storage mode.

In order to enable usb tethering I then have to
1> exit to the home screen
2> open the main menu
3> select System Settings
4> select More...
5> select Tethering and Portable Hotspot
6> then finally check USB Tethering.

Now the phone is ready to provide the tethering service to my laptop.

Proposed Solution:

I want to have a new option added to the initial screen that allows the
user to enable either usb tethering mode or usb storage. This reduces the
number of options used by 5 and makes for a much more logical and friendly
experience.

Thanks
Dave
