I have learned not to rely on experts spotting a problem in advance. Things are sometimes easy to overlook. Android accessory development protocol is something new and not one of Android's main topics. On the other hand, as a small company I am really afraid to starting development of Android accessories just to find out that Apple gets a patent and stops other people from communicating between accessories and smart devices. They even list Android, Blackberry and WebOS in their patent as possible smartphones. I also notice that only Apple has issued such patent applications. They seem to have a large budget, also being sponsored by Google's Android developers. Looking at the Google I/O videos I only see Macbooks. That's where all the money for Apple's patent wars comes from. > and B) said army is using this forum I don't expect Google's lawyers to know that forums like this even exist. On the other hand, I have no way to contact those guys. So I just hope that some of Google's employees will see my post and maybe check if there is something going on in that direction.
