But why java or java + xml?  Why not C or C + xml, or python, or perl, or
php, or haskell, or lua, or pascal, or fortran, or fourth, or verilog or
logo or basic or whatever language one knows already and is most
comfortable with?  Also why XML at all?  is XML only for screen and display
layout or is it found in other ways?  if so how?

Also could this group suggest a few good books and resources (esp. online)
for learning Java and android Development?
