Hi Victor Grazi! I'm answering your msg dated 09:57 AM 7/31/2012:
One warning - I have a Galaxy Epic 2s and although I love it, the
battery life is disgusting-2 hours with normal use - checking my
email every 5 minutes.
Would one of those extended batteries help with that? Just wondering.
My previous evo was bad and I thought nothing could be worse.
Hmm, mine is not great, but it will hang in there MUCH longer than 2
hours. Not saying it goes 8 hours but maybe it would go 4ish? And I
check 6 email accounts and have a TON of apps. Don't do 4G or the like tho.
But I am hearing it is a common problem with all androids. So do
your homework on the battery life
Yep, heard that too, but was assuming I'd get an extended battery at
some point if a new one proved to be too similar to the current one.

Good luck
Victor Grazi

Hubby and I both currently have rapidly aging HTC Evo 4G phones
from Sprint. They have served us both splendidly as our intro to
smartphones, but we now find ourselves at a point where we can now
upgrade to something new, as we got them on the upswing nearly 2
years ago. As we have a long time business account, we cannot change
from Sprint.
I am the resident techie of the family, and this model was
originally selected as not just a cell phone replacement but as a
replacement for my dying Palm TX, which was (like the Evo now) the
repository of my entire life :) I rarely use the phone functionality
in favor of the other apps, but do need it. Hubby is the opposite.
He lives and dies with his cell, and rarely uses his apps beyond
email, news, sports and weather. Mine typically runs out of phone
space quickly (even after moving stuff to SD), his has abundant
space available all the time. Mine is generally on the charger while
I use it, his is not, so it usually dies much faster than mine
'cause he forgets to recharge it :) You get the idea I'm sure.
We got the same model to keep it simple keep them updated and
otherwise maintained (I do it for both), and I want to keep it that
way by again having the same phones, so it has to give me a good
experience as the 4g does now (Hubs will ignore most of that :) We
do not live in or near any flavor of a 4G area (although of course
we pay for the "privilege" of having a 4G phone), and rarely travel
to one, and to the best of our knowledge, it's probably never coming
here (too small an area). We still need cell phones and it has to
fit into his pocket, so we do not want any kind of tablet.
What's out there in the next 60 days or so that would be a good
replacement for the Evo 4G? Hopefully for under $250 apiece :) Does
not have to be an HTC, any comparable model would be fine.
TIA
