In the last couple of days I've started to get emails from irate users saying that AVG's "antivirus" app is flagging one of my apps as infected. After installing AVG myself - and never have I seen a longer list of required permissions! - I can repro the issue. I've filled out AVG's False Detection web form, but am not holding my breath... has anyone else had this happen to them?
I did notice that it's only flagging the current version of the app signed for Google Play, not the dev-signed version, nor those I build for other stores (Amazon, etc.). So an obvious fix might be to simply do a new build for Google Play that will have a different checksum, or whatever it is AVG's picking up. Still, I'd be interested to know if anyone else has seen this. String -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
