That would be a "Trojan", not a virus. A virus, by definition, can spread.
BUT...yes, there can be malware that even tries to spread itself on
Android. Know all of those "Root your phone!" procedures? Many exploit
Android security holes to gain root. Guess what happens if someone were
to collect all of those exploits for different phones into a single app?
It could root your phone and then have it do all KINDS of evil things,
permissions notwithstanding. Like send links to the download page of the
app to all of your friends in email, Facebook, messaging, whatever.
That would be a classic virus.
