Thanks John So I can see that for user reviews, their G+ name and image are appearing as well as the ability to add them to circles.
For dev replies, just the "app developer name" is visible and nothing else. So are you simply using the dev console to reply and no hint of G+ sign-in anywhere..? If so, I guess that gets around the "not allowed to name a G+ profile after a product/brand" issue... It also looks a bit limited - just one reply total and no further thread. I've also seen some people update their original comment and then the developer's reply doesn't make sense anymore - bit weird..
