Because .27 doesn't have atl2 driver, which is necessary for us who working on x86 porting, especially for EeePC 701. > The second fixes a real problem. Thank you for the suggestion. But... Do you mean android kernel team will only accept fixes from the upstream? > That should solve one of your patch problems. The ethernet driver seems like > a strange request for a mobile device :) Sorry, I didn't include enough information and background for the patches. (I'm still new to use 'repo upload'. In additional to git log, Is it possible to include more comments in my uploaded patches?) But I think the list is for generic android kernel development, not only for mobile or arm device. Am I wrong? To be clear, we are working on android x86 port. The drivers I submitted are important for EeePC series. Actually they are just back-ported from 2.6.29 branch. So it should be safe to apply them. (of course I've tested them OK on the real EeePC machines) We have already tried to use 2.6.29. However, it seems .29 is not ready for x86 target. I've described some issues in the threads http://groups.google.com/group/android-kernel/browse_thread/thread/3384a35ee954794a So, until .29 is ready for x86 target, we still have to stay with .27. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ unsubscribe: [email protected] website: http://groups.google.com/group/android-kernel -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
