The soft "keyboard" (aka IME) can be replaced via market apps. system may
be used for a lot of things, but I'm not sure its correct to say it
represents the user. There are things that the system user cannot do. For
example, I believe at least historically it could not access an SD card,
which certainly can contain user data.
