Thanks for that, it's a well written document with a lot of good answers. It does say: "Google provides a set of cloud-based services ... [e.g. Android Market, that are] ... out of scope for this document. But they are relevant to the security of most Android devices, so a related security document titled “Google Services for Android: Security Overview” is available."
