AndroMDA could use the ATL or MTL virtual machine to support in-memory (i.e. without intermediate XMI serialization) chains of transformations across MDR and EMF repositories as well but I don't think this should have much priority for the moment. We could already bypass intermediate XMI serialization by exposing loaeded MDR extents to ATL, MTL, SDM, ... transformations. EMF support could become important if MDR wouldn't catch up with MOF 2... Can anybody comment on the MDR activity related to MOF 2?
