I do think its a good concept to release the core by itself however I think it 
would be better to do what maven does: make a release of everything at once 
containing all stable cartridges, etc, and then allow cartridges to be released 
alone. 



I know I wouldn't want to have to keep downloading separate packages and stuff 
from souceforge just to get started, however if we released cartridges 
seperately, we could just deploy to our maven repository, people change their 
version of a cartridge and the newest version is download.
