I can't say for certain. If there's absolutely no sound coming out of the
setup you have, I'd compare the kernel config from this setup with the one
you had which worked.
I'm out of ideas otherwise. :(
I actually do have an idea. Try including the kernel-modules in your
image. We had a problem when trying to use a USB->Serial adapter, we have
a 4 port, and we were not getting the proper links setup as the modules
were not present. Could be that your missing something that is listed in
the kernel config as a module, but not on the device.
For $#!T$ and Giggles, try adding in the kernel-modules to your image, I
wouldn't be surprised if the audio does in fact work as it should.
