I have installed the spitz 2007.12 version on my Zaurus C3100. It does work apart from the network connection via my firewall/dhcp server. I use a Billionton ethernet card. This combination used to work running OpenZaurus connected to the internet via exactly the same firewall/dhcp server. My firewall/dhcp server is running Mandriva 2006.0 that connects to an internet provider via an ADSL connection. This firewall has worked with various boxes running Windows XP, FreeBSD, fedora, ubuntu, suse and mandriva. This is just meant to point out that the problem must be angstrom-distribution version 2007.12 (spitz). nslookup external_host gives the following response: Unknown hostname followed by the correct hostname and the correct IP number. Evidently there must be some connection. Any attempt to ping or connect to an outside host fails. I have no ide as for what is the cause of this problem. Bu maybe somebody on this list has an ide for something that I could try.
