I only subscribe to the -users list so I don't see your other message
about export PATH. For lack of a better idea, I added it to my 50-
hostap_cs.rules file (which I got from this list):
# hostap_cs needs ignore_cis_vcc=1 set. This should handle all cards.
export PATH

ACTION=="add", DEVICE=="hostap_cs", \
SYSFS{func_id}=="0x06", RUN+="/sbin/modprobe hostap_cs"
I don't know how to soft eject the card using /sys. I do it by
$ pccardctl eject 1
$ pccardctl insert
followed by
$ ifup wlan0
udhcpc (v1.2.1) started
run-parts: /etc/udhcpc.d/99avahi-autoipd exited with return code 1:
Success
Sending discover...
Sending discover...
Sending discover...
No lease, failing.
$
At this point my limited technical expertise fails. I don't know what
to do next - except to reinstall the gpe version, and I would really
prefer to get opie running!
