As one of the authors I can say that work on this is not at the moment
progressing. I don't know about Adam but my time got severly restrained
right after the initial development of tasks.

I'm hoping to begin work on this again soon (in the next few weeks) but my
intent includes a substantial rewrite of the initial task. Mostly because I
want to speed the task up so I intend to include multithreading capabilities
into the task. For now though this is still in design with coding hopefully
to start end of month.

If needed I can repost both Adam and My tasks to the list or else email them
direct to you.

One word of warning is that the linker part of my task does not function
properly on Sun Workshop, other then that everything should be working

Curt,

As I recall, the authors were going to combine their proposals and submit
that. I haven't seen that.

There was a substantial bit of discussion about C++ compilation tasks back
in June
(http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/mail10.html).
However, I didn't see that any of them had made it into the CVS or
documentation. Has there been any progress or are the tasks available
somewhere else?
