I should have mentioned that 65pre3t uses aoetools-28, while aoe6-64 uses aoetools-27. The aoetools changes are not included in the patch, and aoe6-65pre3t expects to find aoetools-28, so you can satisfy it by unpacking aoetools-28 in the aoe source directory.
