I totally agree. I certainly plan to give the project clear focus on short-term goals and deliverables (via the roadmap, chats, communication on mailing lists, etc.). However, I also want to encourage everyone to work on things that they WANT working in AOLserver. I don't want the message to be "this is the current project focus and anyone working on something else will be scolded or shunned." I am simply saying that "this is the direction I, personally, will be pushing in and everyone is encouraged to help push, but if you want to do something else, great!" I only care that people are DOING things. It's a big plus if they're doing the things that *I* feel need to get done. If, in the end, AOLserver only ends up supporting Tcl, Java, PHP, Python and SML -- great! That's the voice of the collective AOLserver Community speaking as to what they really *need* to have in AOLserver in order to use it. I'd be perfectly fine with that. If AOLserver ends up supporting over 20 languages in-process through a module system, I will be very proud of that accomplishment, too. -- Dossy -- Dossy Shiobara mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Panoptic Computer Network web: http://www.panoptic.com/ "He realized the fastest way to change is to laugh at your own folly -- then you can let go and quickly move on."
